Lodge with TIO Motor Accidents Compensation at tio.com.au. You'll need accident details, vehicle registration, medical certificate, earnings evidence and any police report number. TIO acknowledges the claim and assigns a case manager.
Who is eligible under the MAC scheme?
Anyone injured in an NT motor accident: drivers, passengers, motorcyclists, cyclists and pedestrians. The scheme is no-fault, funded by an annual MAC premium on NT vehicle registrations.
What does MAC pay for?
Reasonable and necessary medical, rehabilitation, dental and equipment costs. Loss of earnings (capped weekly amount) where you cannot work. Permanent impairment lump sums for whole-person impairment of 5%+. Travel to treatment costs.
How long do I have to lodge?
